Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Assistant Housing Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily management of the facility, focusing primarily on scheduling and managing caregivers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills while working in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Caregiver Scheduling: Efficiently schedule caregivers for resident shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times, including handling last-minute changes or call-offs.
- Staff Support: Provide guidance and support to caregivers, helping them with scheduling conflicts, time-off requests, and day-to-day concerns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Housing Director and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and high standards of care.
- Resident Care Coordination: Assist in ensuring that all residents' care needs are met by working with the caregiving team to address any changes in care plans.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with caregivers, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction and timely updates.
- Compliance: Ensure that all caregiving shifts comply with state and federal regulations and company policies.
- Administrative Support: Help with documentation, reports, and other administrative tasks as required by the Housing Director.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a senior care or healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of caregiver scheduling and staffing requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with caregivers, residents, and families.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level of compassion and commitment to providing quality care to senior residents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (experience with scheduling software is a plus).
