- Bachelor’s degree.
- One or more years experience in student programming and working with student organizations.
- Knowledge of event planning, sound, lighting and various audio-visual equipment, and negotiating contracts.

Primary Responsibilities
Summary
Function: Responsible for oversight and planning for Campus Activities and the University Center. Provide supervision of professional and student staff to include selection, training and scheduling. Responsible for budget development, expenditures and reconciliation.
Duties
Essential:
- Responsible for building a positive and vibrant campus life and creating community across campus through student programming.
- Advise Campus Activity Board, attend meetings and develops/implements training as needed. Serves as resource to aid in planning and implementation of CAB activities.
- Organizes, promotes and implements student events and activities.
- Trains, assigns, directs, supervises and evaluates Campus Activities staff.
- Prepares budgets; maintains and monitors expenses; provides guidance in the distribution of allotted budget funds.
- Oversees the planning and coordination of events with both on and off campus partners including scheduling and contract negotiations.
- Oversees the University Center including scheduling, set up, and maintenance, including the University Game Room.
- Develops schedule for student workers.
- Supervises the resource person for all campus organizations.
- Serves on University Committees as required.
Non-Essential:
Works in conjunction with the Campus Activities Coordinator in oversight of student organizations.

Received: Receive general direction from the Dean of Students.
Given: Direct supervision of Campus Activities Coordinator, office admin, and student workers.

Working Conditions
Usual: Work weekends and/or irregular hours during peak periods and special events. Exempt from overtime provisions. Position is Security Sensitive.
Special: Light to moderate physical duties; irregular hours including evenings and weekends; travel with student groups.

The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
