The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC-R/Plumbing trades, with a strong background in both commercial and residential settings. You will be responsible for providing training that prepares students to be college and career-ready in the electrical trades. This will involve classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective training to students, utilizing a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs
- Communicate with parents, teachers, school counselors, and other stakeholders involved in student education
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment
- Monitor student progress, including grades, attendance, and hands-on performance skills
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 plans for students with diverse learning needs
- Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in the electrical industry
- Perform other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal
Requirements:
- Have or be eligible for the 7-12 Career & Technical Education certification in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC-R/Plumbing trades, with a strong background in both commercial and residential settings
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Be able to maintain a safe and organized learning environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols
