The Warehouse Inventory Specialist oversees and optimizes the terminal warehouse operations. This position will support all terminal departments by observing work performance, identifying solutions for various warehouse issues, maintaining inventories, and analyzing customer feedback. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring computer screens or mobile device applications to track orders, inventory levels, and incoming shipments.
- Communicating with other departments, such as shipping and accounting, to ensure all products are received and shipped in a timely manner.
- Performing physical tasks such as lifting heavy boxes or moving large objects
- Keeping warehouse inventory levels and product locations records to ensure all items are accounted for.
- Maintaining a safe work environment by following OSHA guidelines for lifting heavy objects, wearing protective equipment, or using safety equipment such as forklifts
- Receiving shipments of goods from suppliers or manufacturers and unpacking or staging them for distribution within the warehouse
- Providing customer service to customers who have questions about products or orders.
- Stocking shelves with new products or removing old products for sale or disposal.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisors, such as labeling boxes with barcodes or scanning items with a barcode scanner.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Required skills include supply chain management knowledge, familiarity with data entry systems analytical thinking, problem-solving, observation spirit, and interpersonal abilities.
- 5 years of experience in an inventory role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in any course
- Computer Literacy and Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US Driver’s License.
- Must pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test, physical, and background check.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work at elevated heights, including lifts, ladders, and stairs.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Work is done outdoors; you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Position Details:
- Shift work - must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Will be subject to call-out.
- Nonexempt position.
