Position Overview: We are seeking an Operations Manager for our Services_AME team in Bridgeport, NJ. This role involves managing all operational aspects of the Service Center, including capital expense, quality, cost of goods sold, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all operational aspects of the Service Center.
Supervise cost estimation, project coordination, manufacturing engineering, production control, direct labor staff, hydraulic testing, master scheduling, and administrative staff.
Collaborate with the sales network to achieve budget and Mid-Range Plan volume levels.
Participate in special studies and analyses as needed.
Coordinate with other Sulzer Service Centers to integrate the Global Manufacturing Network for cost reduction.
Secure strategic alliances to support Sulzer’s Mid-Range Plan objectives.
Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
Support and participate in company-wide safety and Total Quality Management (TQM) programs.
Perform miscellaneous assignments and research projects as needed.
Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Service Center.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Business experience in operations, planning, finance, and marketing.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
5-7 years’ experience with pumps or similar equipment preferred.
Ability to develop and foster a team environment.
