Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our small bookkeeping office and provide exceptional financial management and record-keeping services. This role requires a highly detail-oriented individual with a strong background in bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. As a bookkeeper in our office, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting our clients' financial needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
2. Prepare financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring they are accurate, clear, and delivered in a timely manner.
3. Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies, promptly resolving any issues to ensure data accuracy.
4. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific financial needs and provide personalized support and guidance.
5. Assist in the preparation of tax documents, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and relevant regulations to ensure the highest level of service and accuracy for our clients.
7. Utilize bookkeeping software and other tools efficiently to streamline processes and improve productivity.
8. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and exercise discretion in handling clients' financial records.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a small bookkeeping office setting.
2. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping practices.
3. Proficiency in using bookkeeping software and tools, including QuickBooks, Excel, and other relevant applications.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple client accounts and meet deadlines.
6. Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
7. High level of integrity and ethical conduct when handling financial data.
