What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Technician position at Sumeru INC?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 1 year of related warehouse/inventory experience
- Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able and willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs., as well as work in a warehouse environment in adverse temperatures
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Department of Transportation (DOT) HazMat Certification
- Current Forklift License
- Knowledge of Maximo and Deltek CostPoint database
- Associates degree or higher
- Experience with international logistics support activities, including shipping and compliance with customs regulations * Ability to implement new processes to increase efficiency related to inventory count, organization, and setup
- Working knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
