What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Sumida America Inc.?
Manage and coordinate organizational activities related to operations of the Searcy Manufacturing Facility. Responsible for efficient manufacturing and quality systems to meet customer requirements, (both present and future) through continuous improvement principles. Also responsible for project management efforts to achieve company-wide objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
· Review customer contracts, quality control documents, and engineering information.
· Project Management including program updates, rescheduling, management of tasks and activities for the Searcy location.
· Continuous improvement (training, leading, and culture) projects related to improvement of equipment or processes.
· Manufacturing Plans including Supervisor review of weekly plans and scheduling of manufacturing and Development of monthly plans, Directing cross functional support.
· Responsible for communications and feedback with employees and department heads.
· Determine number of people required on each machine.
· Shift alignment to spread experience.
· Implement present and future goals and directions of plant.
· Evaluate how to meet customer requirements.
· Budgets and forecasts including layouts of equipment / employee requirement, capital expenses/ strategy and timing, performance reviews for all salaried personnel, short and Long term (3-5 year) budgets and forecasts.
· Management and direction of Quality functions and personnel.
· Overseeing of ISO/IATF & ISO 14001 coordination activities.
· Coordinate sales efforts with management, and corporate representatives.
· Approve quotes for new product, Internal responsibilities for organic growth/quotes of existing product.
Requirements:
· MBA or higher with experience in Operations Management, Business or Manufacturing engineering or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience.
· 8 or more years manufacturing experience including supervision of employees.
· Knowledge of Purchasing, Sales, Financial Analysis and Accounting.
· 5 - 10 years in a manufacturing setting.
· Knowledge of computers in everyday business scenarios. Effective written and oral communicating skills.
· Knowledge of SPC, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, APQP and ISO/IATF 16949. Sound understanding of Business Math skills and applications.

Pay: From $83,000.00 per year
