The anticipated salary range for this role is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
- Collaboration with AD Technology and AD IAD staff to define system data integration requirements and perform comprehensive testing for IAD reporting data warehouse and Data Bricks landing zone environment releases.
- Develop dashboards and integration efforts across data sources, Alteryx, and Tableau, administration across environments.
- Partner with central teams to optimize server and application needs for BI/AI toolsets.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support advanced analytics initiatives using Data Bricks.
- Develop machine learning models and in partnership with AD Technology adopt and scale across environments to address business challenges; all the while following model, data, and ML/AI policies and procedures.
Role Objectives: Delivery
- Analyzes, engineers, develops, and validates advanced solutions across several applications in the technology stack, including Data Bricks, Alteryx, SQL Datawarehouse, Tableau, Python IDEs, and UiPath.
- Interprets requirements and produces conceptual design documents to include context, data flow, process flow, logical diagrams, data references, etc.
- Evaluate and continuously improve solutions, dashboards, applications, and other BI solutions and communicate results and outcomes to management team.
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of role and capabilities, including support of ad-hoc and reoccurring data operation activities and workflows related to audit systems.

- Presents ideas and instructions clearly, verbally and in writing using appropriate presentation tools as needed.
- Assists with data governance initiatives and workgroups as needed. Work with Data Governance team to ensure that all data is captured and utilized in ways that meet security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Works with end users/consumers on product feedback.
Role Objectives: Expertise
- Proficient knowledge and applied skill in the development of products through SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, and Databricks.
- Proficient knowledge in applied statistics and LLMs for modelling and analysis frameworks to gain insights from collected data and in support of the end solutions.
- Developed communication and presentation capabilities to illustrate complex data models, concepts, and observations/themes to a wide audience of stakeholders.
- Proficient knowledge and applied skill in the construction of ML in python and Databricks.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data engineering, machine learning, and system integration.
- Strong proficiency in Data Bricks and experience with building and deploying ML solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Alteryx and Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability to work with central IT and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
