Summary:
Coordinates function or project for assigned department using advanced administrative skills. Implements administrative procedures, systems, and policy and monitors administrative projects/functions using a high degree of latitude and independent judgment in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines. Maintains records and databases, may create reports and troubleshoot computerized systems; serves as departmental liaison; and may monitor department budget. Maintains office environment and performs limited degree of clerical/secretarial duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
-Associate’s degree in business administration, secretarial science, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience & Training Required:
-Three years of increasingly responsible office administration experience to include coordination of administrative projects/functions.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Skill in interpersonal communication to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
-Advanced organizational and clerical/secretarial skills.
-Skill in written communication.
-Skill in basic mathematics.
-Skill in basic accounting procedures.
-Knowledge of organizational structure and understanding of various departmental functions in a business environment.
-Report writing skills; ability to understand and troubleshoot computerized systems.
-Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and resolve moderately complex problems independently.
-Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
