Summary:
Processes documents through image/USPS mail/Lockbox (scanning) along with data entry of claim data, miscellaneous correspondence and internal company documents for filing to EDM/PDF/Excel folders. Tracks and logs incoming correspondence (requires detail review).
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Formal Education Required:
a. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Experience & Training Required:
a. Two (2) years relevant experience. Relevant experience includes: document processing and scanning, medical office experience and alpha numeric data entry. Review all incoming correspondence prior to distribution for appropriate follow-up.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Data entry, Excel, Word and Outlook experience. Maintain current knowledge of printer and scanner operations and programs.
b. Work independently, with little direct supervision.
c. Operate standard office machines.
d. Maintain current knowledge of and comply with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
e. Maintain confidentiality of member health and business information.
f. Flexible: ability to adjust work hours to meet business demands.
4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
b. Lift up to 20 pounds.
c. Manual dexterity to operate computer, phone and standard office machines.
d. Bend, stoop and stretch.
