Summary :
Prospects new Medicare and individual accounts that are considering enrollment in Individual Solutions, Open Enrollment and Medicare Individual/Group. Facilitates sale and implementation accounts in Individual Sales Department.
Minimum Qualifications :
Formal Education Required: Associates Degree or may substitute with 2 years of like experience.
Experience & Training Required : 1 years performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant experience includes: Phone sales/prospecting skills, sales cycle follow up, field underwriting, and calendar maintenance.
Required Licenses and/or Certificates :
Health & Accident License (must be met within ninety days from date of hire).
As a Captive Agent you work for one insurance company, SummaCare. You can only sell SummaCare products and cannot help individuals outside of SummaCare offerings and cannot be appointed with any other carrier for any product lines.

1. Maintain familiarity with population to be serviced in our Individual Solution product, Medicare Individual/Group products.
2. Demonstrate working knowledge of other products SummaCare sells that can transition into products sold.
3. Demonstrate verifiable ability to appropriately interact with members having complex and sensitive medical problems.
4. Maintain pleasant attitude while interacting with patients/members who are frustrated with excessive medical paperwork.
5. Apply appropriate rules of grammar, usage, and style when preparing correspondence and documentation.
6. Work autonomously in a self-directed manner.
7. Organize and manage time to accurately complete tasks within designated time frames in fast-paced results driven environment.
8. Maintain current knowledge of and comply with regulatory and company policies & procedures.
9. Maintain confidentiality of member health and business information.
10. Flexible: ability to adjust work hours to meet business demands.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
