What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Director, Facilities Maintenance position at Summa Health?
Full-Time, w/benefits/Onsite position

Summary:
Provides leadership for the facility operations for the facility operations for Summa Akron City, Summa Barberton, and Summa Wadsworth Hospitals. Also provides support for the Summa JV Hospital; Summa Rehab Hospital as requested. Directs the functions of the Facilities Maintenance Departments, Plant Operations and General Services Support, including utility distribution, fire protection, and assures a comfortable, safe building. Meets and documents the Joint Commission and other regulatory organizations requirements for accreditation.
Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor’s degree in a related field; B.S. in Engineering preferred
b. Professional Engineering License preferred or related field certification or equivalent experience.
Experience and Training Required:
a. Five (5) years or more of acute care hospital or equivalent facility experience
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Possess excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
b. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Level of Physical Demands:
a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
