Summary
The Director of Engineering Facilities Maintenance is responsible for ensuring that healthcare facilities are safe, efficient, and conducive to providing high-quality patient care. This role encompasses strategic planning, budgeting, compliance with regulations, and management of maintenance and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all healthcare facilities.
- Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Manage budgets related to facility maintenance and capital improvement projects.
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for maintenance staff and contractors.
- Plan and execute facility upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Develop contingency plans for emergency situations (e.g., natural disasters, power outages).
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to align facility management with organizational goals.
- Manage energy consumption and sustainability initiatives within facilities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure all compliance standards are met.
