Are you a hands-on payroll systems expert ready to lead and optimize workforce management solutions? We’re looking for a Payroll Systems Manager to drive enhancements, support key integrations, and lead payroll system upgrades, ensuring seamless payroll operations for our team.
Responsibilities:
In this player-coach role, you’ll take the lead on systems-level initiatives, working directly with a seasoned HRIS team member who brings extensive experience in UKG and Workday. Your primary focus will be managing, enhancing, and optimizing our UKG Pro Workforce Management platform while providing critical support for Workday Payroll functionalities.
- Directly manage UKG Pro Workforce Management and Workday Payroll configurations, supporting the end-to-end payroll process with an emphasis on efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Lead system upgrades and enhancements by working closely with integration partners. Oversee the entire upgrade cycle, from planning through implementation and testing, to ensure successful deployment.
- Identify and implement improvements across payroll processes, leveraging system capabilities to streamline workflows and support overall payroll strategy.
- Work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to align payroll systems with broader business goals. Ensure smooth communication and coordination on service requests and project initiatives.
- Utilize UKG Pro and Workday Report Writer to develop custom reports and dashboards, delivering valuable insights and data-driven solutions that meet internal customer needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in payroll or HRIS systems management, with in-depth expertise in UKG Pro Workforce Management (experience with Workday is an asset but not required).
- Strong understanding of payroll systems integration, system audits, data processing, and end-to-end payroll workflows.
- Able to work hands-on in payroll system management while mentoring a skilled HRIS professional. This role emphasizes technical expertise over traditional people management.
- Expertise in developing custom reports and data visualization, particularly using tools like Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables), UKG Pro, and Workday Report Writer, to support data-driven decision-making.
