Manager Payroll Systems

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Manager Payroll Systems to join their team! This opportunity is perfect for an individual with a strong background in payroll systems and workforce management, specifically those experienced with Workday and UKG Pro systems. The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day functions of payroll and workforce management systems, ensuring process improvements, and collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors. This is a key position in a dynamic environment, offering the chance to make a significant impact on system operations and business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate daily payroll system functions and related processes.
• Manage and mentor a team, ensuring smooth operation of the systems team.
• Provide ongoing support to stores and distribution operations teams using the UKG Pro Workforce Management system.
• Collaborate with business partners to maintain a balance between service requests, production support, and system enhancements.
• Design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Lead the configuration and deployment of both UKG Pro and Workday systems.
• Ensure data accuracy and system integrity, conducting regular system audits.
• Develop custom reports and analyze system data to support business needs.
• Manage system upgrades, testing, and validation, ensuring minimal disruptions to business processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and UKG Pro, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions.
• Maintain timeclock systems, including firmware updates, troubleshooting, and inventory management.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 years of experience in data processing, HRIS system analysis, and system configuration.
• 2 years of experience with Workday, particularly in payroll, absence management, and workforce management.
• 2 years of experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management, Kronos, or similar timekeeping systems.
• Proficiency in developing, documenting, and configuring business processes in Workday.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and system data flow management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical aptitude with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including formulas, macros, and pivot tables).
  
  

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• FPC or CPP certification preferred.
• Previous experience in HRIS system upgrades, particularly payroll-focused.
• Knowledge of UKG Pro Mobile App and related system issues.
• Experience with integration design and management in HRIS systems.
