Events and Operations Team Member
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- $21 hourly compensation
- Participation in employee profit sharing plan

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Events and Operations Team Member is responsible for (1) pitching our product at various marketing events including small tastings, promotional events, and large trade shows (2) event loading, setup and breakdown (3) product manufacturing and preparation (4) product transportation and distribution (5) warehouse cleaning, organizational and efficiency tasks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Marketing products to large groups at events (trade shows, vendor fairs, sales markets)
- Conduct product tastings at various store locations to build our customer base
- Develop our customer base by creating and keeping good rapport with previous and new customers.
- Assist in transportation, setup, and tear down of event booths and equipment
- Assist in manufacturing and packing of the Summer Lakes Beverage product line
- Accurately follow documented standard operating procedures, preparation techniques, and sanitation practices to ensure product integrity and safety in the workplace
- Assist in all matters of maintaining facility efficiency

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience is preferred, in sales and/or hospitality industry
- Must be 21 years of age
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in indoor and outdoor settings. Outdoor events are held rain or shine. Work outdoors may have no protection from outside weather conditions. At times, the employee is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to; Cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear clearly. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, grasping, feeling, fingering and repetitive motion. The employee is required to have close visual acuity. This position requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
POSITION EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- Full time hours. 32-40 hours per week
- Regular weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for working tastings and events.
- Ability to work longer shifts 8 hours during events, production, etc.
- Overtime is a possibility with time ½ pay
TRAVEL
Travel is expected for this position to various locations for events and tastings.
- Mileage reimbursements for long distance travel to events and business use of personal vehicle
- Parking reimbursements for parking at events
