Summer Migrant Program Director
Program Dates
June 16th through July 25th
Monday - Thursday; 8:00 am - 2:30 pm (approximately)
*Two required training days

Goal:
Lead the Kent City Summer Migrant program in all planning, hiring, grant management, instructional programming and student development. Ensures district wide compliance with federal program requirements including ESSA, and Title I-C.
What You Need:
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification or Administrative Certificate
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering a Title 1 program
- Migrant education experience
- Experience working with migrant populations and/or at-risk populations
- Administration experience
- Ability to speak/write Spanish
Supervision Responsibilities
- Lead Professional Development of SMP staff
- Post positions, interview, and hire staff
- Create and manage budgets with accuracy and detail
- Evaluate staff performance
- Grow student engagement and achievement
- Attend State trainings and meetings
- Coordinate summer transportation
- Oversee recruiting team
- Assist the staff in the identification, collection, and analysis of student data to increase student achievement
