Summary:
Summers-Taylor, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Osborne Electric Division in Johnson City, TN. This individual will work directly under the Vice President of the Osborne Division. As the Electrical Estimator you will be responsible for preparing estimates for industrial and commercial projects, reviewing plans throughout the duration of a project, and ensuring the success of all assigned projects. Your expertise in estimating materials, labor and equipment costs will enable us to accurately bid on projects, be awarded projects, and deliver quality work to all clients.
Job Duties:
- Prepares comprehensive bids and proposals for an array of different size projects.
- Analyze plans and other documents to ensure accurate labor, time and material estimates.
- Continuously monitor and update cost databased, pricelists, and labor rates to ensure accurate estimates.
- Place purchase orders on assigned projects.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- 2 years of estimating experience preferred .
- Industrial or Commercial Electrical background preferred.
- Ability to read and analyze blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
