Job Description: Accounting Specialist
Job duties may include, but are not limited to
- Execute month-end processing for financial statement preparation
o Daily Reconciliation of all bank accounts
o Track/communicate/resolve NSF payments
o Prepare daily deposits and banking research
o Management of all incoming wires
o Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
o Journal entry preparation
o Research GL accounts before CFO review
- Debit card holder / Credit card expense reports, and receipts
o Categorize reported expenses for journal entries
o Ensure all transactions are recorded and investigate abnormal / potential fraudulent charges
- Lead Inventory monthly/audit counts & investigate/resolve inventory discrepancies
- Assist CFO in
o Improve/Document Internal Controls
o Improve accounting efficiency / better procedures
- Reviewing and recommending process flows and improvements to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial reporting
- Other special projects or assignments as needed
