What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garage Door Inventory Specialist position at Summertown Metals, LLC?
Summertown Metals is looking for a self-motivated individual that has a strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic, can work well as a team or individually. Good time management skills. An inventory background is preferred but not mandatory. This is a full-time position that includes benefits. Job description includes but are not limited to:
- Garage doors and supplies are being ordered appropriately and in their designated locations.
- Inbound orders are audited and verified 100% in a physical inspection as they are unloaded.
- Packing lists collected and entered against current inventory tracker.
- Air table is being utilized, all daily orders and shipments are manually adjusted into the system daily by physical verification before 3pm.
- Ensure Sortly inventory program is accurate and adjusted daily.
- Purchasing department is notified when stock levels are below standard stock levels.
- Openers, punch angle and supplies are being ordered with the guarantee to not fall below levels of not being able to install.
- Job/Install scheduler is notified when special order doors arrive.
- Door location and information is kept up to date in Air Table.
- Sorting, documenting, and moving leftover/damaged doors out of warehouse is monitored daily.
- Going and collecting work orders to adjust inventory daily after jobs have been pulled.
- Garage door products are stocked daily.
- Damaged doors and hardware are communicated to purchasing and scheduling immediately upon finding.
- Inventory count completed, adjusted in Sortly, and turned into department manager by the 1st of every month. This needs to be done with a 100% visual count.
- Paradigm will be used to verify doors ordered vs received is correct.
- Update garage doors Team Up daily of important information for the warehouse workers/installers before being scheduled. This will include door/spring/opener/track qty, size, type, color, and brand.
- Customer service assisting as necessary.
- Assist with other Garage Door duties, if required.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
