Summary:
Summit 3PL is looking for a proactive and skilled Warehouse Learning and Development Manager to join our team. This role will focus on training and developing staff across various departments, with a particular emphasis on software, systems, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate will work closely with all departments, learning every step of operations. This hands-on role is integral to ensuring that all team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize our warehouse software, including Logiwa, and to perform their duties efficiently across the board.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop, implement, and manage training programs for warehouse operations staff, with a focus on warehouse software and systems, such as Logiwa.
- Work directly with all departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each role and how the software and systems are used throughout the operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to identify key areas for training and process improvements.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance the team's proficiency in warehouse software, ensuring full adoption of systems.
- Continuously update training materials and SOPs to reflect changes in software, tools, or warehouse processes.
- Serve as the go-to person for all technical training related to warehouse systems and software, troubleshooting issues and providing support to staff as needed.
- Ensure that training aligns with company standards and that SOPs are followed consistently across all departments.
- Work closely with management to gain an in-depth understanding of leadership responsibilities, systems integration, and best practices across departments.
- Assist in evaluating employee progress and offer feedback, coaching, and development plans to ensure employees are equipped to succeed in their roles.
- Support the continuous improvement of warehouse operations by identifying and implementing innovative training solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technology, ensuring that the team is always utilizing the latest tools and software to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the warehouse team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- While not directly responsible for managing staff, this role will provide guidance, training, and mentorship to employees across multiple departments.
- Ensure all team members are proficient in the necessary warehouse software and systems, supporting them with ongoing learning and development opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management, or related field
- Experience in warehouse operations, systems management, or training development.
- Proven experience with warehouse management software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate technical materials and training resources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present and explain software systems and training concepts to staff at all levels.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and utilize software systems for inventory management, tracking, and reporting.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to think critically and solve problems related to system usage, employee training, and operational processes.
