SUMMARY / PURPOSE
The Director of Annual Giving is a full-time position reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer. The incumbent is responsible for developing donor-centric, data-driven strategies to acquire, retain, and upgrade supporters and meet established key performance indicators. The Director of Annual Giving plans, manages, and analyzes Summit Academy’s comprehensive annual giving program, including stewardship and engagement of annual giving donors and development events. The Director of Annual Giving is a part of the Development leadership team and works closely with the Chief Development Officer in the oversight of operations and strategy for the department.

Annual Giving : Strategic Planning, Marketing and Management
- Leads and oversees implementation of a comprehensive, multi-channel (digital, print, social media) annual giving strategy and work plan, including messaging, timing, and segmentation for upgrade, acquisition, renewal, and other key audiences.
- Partners with other internal staff to deliver on work plan goals, ensure best practices, and support all annual giving efforts with robust data, processes, and infrastructure.
- Develops an integrated solicitation strategy to meet donor acquisition, reactivation, and retention goals and benchmarks.
- Collaborates with Chief Development Officer and Major Gifts Officer to develop and implement strategies to identify and expand qualified annual donors into the Major Giving pipeline.
- Partners with Development Communications and Marketing and Communications department to create marketing strategies, multi-channel solicitations, websites, and other collateral for the annual giving program.
- Partners with internal staff, prepares a detailed operating plan and calendar each year to execute the communications / marketing efforts for the annual giving program.
- Leads planning and management of development events.
- Develops and monitors annual giving and events budgets.
