Job Summary
We are seeking an Event Specialist to join our team at Summit Bechtel Reserve. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for preparing and providing services for various events such as meetings, banquets, weddings, concerts, etc. The ideal candidate will have high level emotional intelligence, be active in team dynamics, and possess a cheerful attitude with a servant leadership disposition.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepare banquet spaces to event specifications prepared by the Event Specialist
* Set up and tear down tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, dinner and drink buffets
* Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner
* Collaborate with the culinary team and other staff to ensure seamless event execution
* Maintain high level professionalism and customer service by anticipating guests' needs and responding promptly to requests
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
* Adhere to dress code and maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe working area
Qualifications & Training
* 18 years of age or older
* Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry items such as linens, trash, and plates
* Experience in events, banquets, or food and beverage operations preferred
* Strong time management and prioritization skills and ability to work independently
* Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
Performance Results
* Provide excellent customer service to our guests, creating repeat customers
Physical Requirements
* Up to 14 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs
* Pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements
