Duties & Responsibilities
Organize all waivers into structured system for daily distribution in an efficient manner
Become a knowledgeable resource by familiarizing yourself with the programs and operations of the Summit Bechtel Reserve
Welcome and assist customers arriving onsite, resolving concerns promptly
Answer questions and distribute program information to Participants regarding their scheduled whitewater activity... (What day, what time, where, what to bring...)
Oversee the daily check-in and departure of participants at the whitewater activity tent; verifies that whitewater fee payments have been processed prior to trip
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
File trip reports with West Virginia DNR
Write an end-of-season report to include operational improvements for your area
Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training
18 years of age or older
Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal communication abilities
Must have or be able to obtain Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR Adult certifications
Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
Be or become a registered member of the Scouting America
Performance Results
Seamless waiver processing with less than 2 errors per day
Regularly show appreciation to coworkers via written and verbal methods
Provide 1 suggestion to improve the department
Physical Requirements
Up to 4 hours a day of either standing, walking, sitting, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements
