What are the responsibilities and job description for the Draft Cleaner/Special Events - Part Time position at Summit Beverage?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Draft Cleaner/Special Events position will clean and sterilize all Company and customer machinery, utensils, and equipment used to operate or store beer products. They will also assist the Special Events/Draft Department in moving products from temporary on-site storage to beverage stations at Company sponsored events.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Clean and service all Company draft accounts on a weekly basis.
- Service checks will include taps, washers, faucets, valves, lines, CO2, and temperature.
- Complete any instructions left by sales staff are to be completed in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and complete work in a timely manner.
- Maintain a daily written report of all activities, including cleaning records, problems, opportunities, suggestions, competitive activity, etc.
- Notify Supervisor and/or Sales Rep of any problems, opportunities, or competitive activities with assigned accounts.
- Listen to and help resolve customer inquiries & service complaints in a timely manner.
- Observe safety procedures and work in a safe manner;
- Efficiently move cases of product from on-site cold storage to beverage stations for sale to consumers.
- Lift cases ranging from floor to chest height weighing up to 35 - 55lbs. placing the cases on a wheeled cart.
- Push/Pull the loaded wheeled cart to nearby beverage station, approximately 100ft. or less in distance.
- Unloading cases into coolers at beverage station.
- Adhere to safe lifting practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (including bending, reaching, lifting, pulling, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.

- Adhere to all applicable Federal, state, and local regulations regarding the merchandising of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain valid Montana driver’s license and keeps a good driving record; and
- Does not abuse equipment and maintain Company property such as company vehicles.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma – Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; and
- 3-5 years’ experience using draft systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the public.
- Ability to lift/carry/move 35 lbs. (maximum of 75 lbs.).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (including bending, reaching, lifting, pulling, etc.).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative; Ability to handle wide range of tasks; and,
- Understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage's organizational mission and goals.

- Seeing: Must be able to read product labels, read and interpret documentation. Must be able to see while driving at all times of the day. (75-100% of the time)
- Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with fellow employees and account contacts. (75-100% of the time)

- Sitting at Desk / Sitting while driving: Traveling to accounts (50-74% of the time)
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: (50-74% of the time)
- Lifting/Pushing/Pulling (Lift approx. 35-55lbs – push/pull cart approx. 100-150lb – kegs approx. 160lb): (50-74% of the time)

- Driving & Travel: Between accounts (25-49% of the time)
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, in cold coolers, in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Individuals may also be exposed to potential slippery surfaces from spills, high – moderate noise level from event and audience.
