Summary & Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to coordinate office/administrative duties and perform accounting functions. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety.
The responsibilities for this position shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in finance and accounting areas, such as data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reports, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Work with 3rd party software, uploading invoices, expense reports, audit/tax information and credit cards.
- Gather, organize, generate financial data/reports for monthly or annual reporting and periodic audits.
- Partner with HR to update and maintain office policies, as necessary.
- Assist HR in the onboarding process for new hires.
- Provide administrative support for the Accounting/Operations team as necessary.
- Maintain office files while practicing company-wide file retention policies.
- Greet office visitors, providing general support and answering phones, as required.
- Serve as the point person for office manager duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business field, ideally Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as front office administrator, manager, accounting specialist or staff accountant.
- 2 years of hands‐on accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office products – excel, outlook, word, etc.
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system, SAP is preferred.
