Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and completing general accounting functions as required for supporting Summit's departments and business operations by performing the following duties.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, web-based enterprise solutions, and project management software.
Specialized Training:
Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance

Overall responsibility
Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and completing general accounting functions as required for supporting Summit's departments and business operations by performing the following duties.
Key Tasks:
- Reviews incoming mail and correlates accounts payable bills, invoices, and documentation.
- Matches accounts payable invoices with receiving documentation which includes reviewing for appropriate receipt of goods and the proper authorization of charge.
- Scan and index all payable invoices and link them to accounting software.
- Codes and inputs accounts payable invoices to the software database for payment processing.
- Expense Point tracking
- Maintain fixed assets inventory.
- Reviews incoming mail and correlates cash payment, statements, and documentation.
- Responsible for the full cycle accounts receivable which includes the preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records.
- Back up to Accounting Manager for payroll processing.
- Prepares annual 1099’s.
- Prepares and reviews all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university.
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to convince and negotiate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Ability to effectively work with multiple organizations in a professional manner. Must be able to identify and take appropriate initiative to fulfil the requirements of the role and possess the ability to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong mathematical knowledge.
- Strong computer skills (efficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
