Summit County Resource Allocation Park is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Gatehouse Technician to join our team for the season. This full-time position, running from April through October, plays a critical role in our daily operations by serving as a Scale House Attendant. The Gatehouse Technician will be responsible for greeting customers, processing transactions for incoming materials, accurately recording daily entries and collections, assisting with accounts receivable work programs, and will assist in litter control as needed. In addition to these operational tasks, the role requires strong analytical, technical, and administrative skills to support the SCRAP department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, accountability, leadership, and exceptional customer service when interacting with peers, internal teams, and external customers. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with opportunities for skill development. POSSIBLE WORK SCHEDULE:
April - October (tentative, based on the right candidate)
Tuesday – Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm
Tuesday - Saturday 6:30am-2:30pm
Typical Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Internet, general computer knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills or initiative in learning how to solve problems.
- Thoroughness, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to understand and follow process.
- Ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to write professionally, possess pleasant phone manners and the ability to deal with the public effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment; provide a high level of customer service; exhibit patience and composure in difficult situations; display self-motivation and initiative; desire to learn; demonstrate knowledge of and utilization of appropriate resources.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
