Join the Summit County Human Resources team to support our departments and their people.
We're seeking an experienced and well-rounded HR Generalist to perform a variety of complex analytical, professional, technical and administrative duties related to Human Resources. The selected candidate will support the HR needs of all County Departments and Elected Offices. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal and administrative skills with a diverse HR background. This individual must have extensive experience with employee relations; experience with collective bargaining agreements and union relations a plus.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other related field is required (equivalent experience may be considered).
- At least 3 years HR specific experience in an HR benefit, recruitment, collective bargaining agreements/union relations, drug and alcohol programs, worker’s compensation, property & liability claims, workplace investigations and/or HR employee relations role is required.
- Public sector experience, SPHR or PHR certification, master’s degree or other higher education or related training desired.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license at the time of appointment and throughout employment. Will be required to successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
- Applicants must have previous HR experience and meet minimum qualifications to be considered for this position.
Schedule and office information
This position is exempt and works Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and additional hours as required. May have the ability to work one (1) day a week remotely (after successfully completion of probationary period).
