SUMMIT COUNTY, UT IS HIRING a Natural Resource and Restoration Manager!
On the heels of the largest open space land acquisition in Summit County history, the Lands and Natural Resources department is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Natural Resource & Restoration Manager. GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under the direction of Lands and Natural Resources Director, the Resource and Restoration Manager advances the management and restoration actions for a variety of duties pertaining to conservation lands that are owned, or operated by, Summit County. The Manager will directly oversee the management and implementation of management and restoration plans that advance forest health, wildfire fuels reduction, watershed restoration, and general natural resource resilience efforts. Candidates should possess an exceptional applied natural resource and ecological skillset; have a genuine interest in responsible land management; excellent communication skills, including writing and public speaking; be able to oversee numerous and diverse projects simultaneously; work
independently with minimal supervision; and have a desire to work collaboratively externally with
partners and internally across County departments
Must have 5 years experience managing and implementing complex restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry, fuels reduction, and wildfire adaptive community engagement and have significant experience with watershed restoration projects.
Details: Full-Time, Year-Round, Full Benefits, URS Pension, 3% raise after 6-months of proficient performance, opportunity for annual COLA increases, and opportunity for annual merit increases
Location: Park City, Utah (Countywide position, office located in west side of County)
Salary Range: $82,097.16- $115,069.75 annually. Anticipated to fill the position at a Level I ($82,097.16 annually)
