We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bikeshare Marketing Coordinator to promote the Summit Bike Share program. This seasonal initiative, running from May through October, enhances mobility for both residents and visitors, offering a sustainable and healthy way to explore our community.
As the Bikeshare Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be the face and voice of the Summit Bike Share brand. This role is essential in driving community engagement, building stakeholder relationships, and increasing program usage. The Summit Bike Share is a seasonal program that runs annually from May through October. Leading up to and during the season, the Marketing Coordinator works with sponsors, plans events, and handles customer service and social media. During the off-season, the Marketing Coordinator fosters relationships with the community and stakeholders, develops promotional materials and branding, and prepares an end-of-year report with data and graphics.
Note: This is a part-time, time-limited position, capped at 29 hours per week. This position will typically require fewer hours during the fall and winter months and increased hours during spring and summer months. This position will primarily be remote, but some in-person work including evening and weekend shift availability to attend events. As a time-limited position, funding is available for one-year and may be extended for future years depending on procuring necessary funds. Job closes 1/20/2025 at 5:00 pm Mountain Time. SALARY RANGE $24.42 - $34.18/hourly
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in related fields of study with progress towards a bachelor’s degree; OR
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, communications, Digital Media, Hospitality, Public Relations, and/or a closely related field.
- Ability to ride upwards of 15 miles on an e-bike.
- Perform activities that may require bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, or lifting to 60 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Sponsor Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships to maintain and grow the existing sponsorship program. Foster relationships with key stakeholder groups such as nonprofit community and advocacy organizations, faith-based organizations, local government agencies, etc. to collaborate on ways to promote the bikeshare.
- Marketing: Coordinate marketing to improve awareness, ridership, and community sentiment.
- Branding: ensure a cohesive brand message across all digital platforms. Collaborate on campaigns and initiatives that drive brand awareness and create interest.
- Content Creation and Community Engagement: Develop communications products (e.g., newsletters, blogs, press releases, presentations, website content, fliers, emails, surveys, to grow social media presence, engage with followers, and foster relationships within the community.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute events, including booth setup, networking, and customer engagement.
- Graphic Design and Communications: Develop promotional materials and support outreach efforts.
- Annual Report: Develop data collection tools such as a ridership survey, analyze data, and aggregate information that will be used to create an annual report.
- Customer Service: Provide enthusiastic and friendly customer service, promote, and educate customers on bikeshare services through events and outreach efforts.
- Coordinates with the Summit County Communications Engagement team.
