This EI Speech Pathologist is responsible for a variety of professional level duties related to the assessment, treatment planning, direct service, and documentation of needs and progress for children eligible for service in the EI program. SALARY: $72,092.26 - $101,046.58/annually see below (full job descriptions attached)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Speech/Language Pathology and hold a current license with the State of Utah Department of Commerce – Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.
- Must possess valid State of Utah driver’s license.
- Must hold or complete the Utah State Health Department Early Intervention II (EI II) qualifications within one year of hire.
- ASHA-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency)
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Uses a variety of assessment tools and observation skills for the identification of children under three, with communicative /speech disorders or delays in development of communication skills. Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge.
- Develops and implement individual treatment plans for problems based on assessments and observations.
- Refers for medical or other professional services identified by assessment or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
- Provides services for habilitation, rehabilitation, or prevention of communication disorders. Promotes communication using both verbal and nonverbal means.
- Supervises language activities in home-based programs and acts as a service coordinator. Instructs parents/family members in strategies to remediate communicative-related delays.
- Participates as an IFSP team member, serves as service coordinator, conducts eligibility assessments, writes reports, and provides data for completion of eligibility summaries.
- Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings.
- Performs related duties as required.
