Construction Superintendent Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of construction projects
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality regulations are followed
- Communicate project progress with Clients and project managers
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
- Ability to read construction documents
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Construction, Environmental Construction / Remediation, Drilling, and or other applicable experience.
- The following years of experience:
- Assistant: 0-3 years of construction/drilling experience.
- Technician: 3 years of construction experience and specialized equipment use.
- Foreman: 7 years of construction site management experience and specialized equipment use.
- Superintendent: 10 years of construction site management experience and specialized equipment use as well as experience with Health & Safety program implementation and client-facing communication.
Additional desired areas of experience for Construction Assistant, Technician, Foreman, and Superintendent includes:
- Safety compliance and proactive mindset
- Successful leadership of previous project work
- Change order and documentation management experience
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- TWIC card holder preferred.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
- Competent Person Safety Training
- 8-Hour Supervisory Training
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
- First Aid and CPR
Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred for Foreman and Superintendent positions. Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, and Senior Heavy Equipment Operator candidates should also inquire with the hiring team.
Physical Demands & Work Environment - This role may require lifting up to 50 pounds where mechanical means are not available, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Work conditions and demands may vary, with controlled interaction with heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather.
Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots, is provided. Effective communication, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Salary : $33 - $47
