What will you be doing on a daily basis?
- Responsible for accepting and processing all service and preventative maintenance requests and activities as well as leading capital projects for Summit-owned or leased facilities including offices, warehouses, equipment, and vehicles.
- Identify service providers, seek competitive quotes for services/projects, evaluate, gain approval, and execute contracts and quotes as required to minimize fleet overhead costs.
- Supervise all work done by fleet service providers, including confirmation that the quoted work was completed to the contract specifications and Summits' satisfaction, as well as manage any change orders. Review and approve invoices for fleet service providers.
- Move vehicles between satellite locations as required/delegated.
- Responsible for managing all fleet-related records maintenance and reporting activities for visibility and transparency, including material, inventory tracking, and fleet metrics as delegated.
- Responsible for utilizing all fleet vendor online portals, such as Fleet Management, Fleet Tracking, and Vehicle Fuel Purchasing.
- Serve as Summit’s liaison to all Fleet service providers.
- Review and approve fleet-related invoices.
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
What do you need to be successful?
- 2 years of experience with fleet operations
- Strength in critical thinking, problem-solving, learning on the fly, dealing with ambiguity, and forming strong relationships across various departments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Management, Transportation, or a related field (Preferred but not required), or equivalent experience in fleet operations or mechanics.
- Solar experience (Preferred but not required)
Salary : $55,000
