Position: Assistant Treasurer
Union Status: Exempt
Reports to: Treasurer/CFO

Summary/Objective: Supports all functions in within the Treasurer’s Office. Provides support to treasurer and office staff as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in a public/private school Treasurer’s Office
• Excellent public relations skills
• Excellent confidentiality skills
• Other qualifications the Board/Superintendent may find permissible for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports as required; reconcile bank statements as required; maintain investment records.
• Assist with administering the district insurance benefits plan including premium payments, claims and adjustments as required.
• Prepare, coordinate, and reconcile billing of ESC contracts, service plans, and proposals.
• Assist in developing and implementing a billing cycle to maximize cash flow and investment earnings.
• Assist in management of grant funds to include, reconciliations and submission of monthly project cash requests.
• Assist Treasurer in fiscal year end audit to include responding to document request from GAAP and audit teams, review of financial statements, and implementation of recommendations.
• Responsible for the maintenance and accounting of capital assets.
• Assist Treasurer with management of grants.
• Handle all relations with vendors regarding invoices, payment of bills, credit information, tax exempt status, shipment of orders, and receipt of materials.
• Assists in the preparation of annual budgets, temporary and permanent appropriations, and revenue projections.
• Prepares account analysis as directed for use in the decision making process by the Superintendent, Treasurer, and Directors.
• Provide payroll support as needed.

• Acts in accordance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
• Carries self with a high level of professionalism.
• Is a team player.
• Complies with all board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
• Maintains regular, reliable and predictable attendance as this is a function of this position.
• Has a current and passing BCI/FBI background check on file with HR during entire employment.
• Performs all aspects of the job and other duties as directed or assigned.
