As the Accessory Sourcing Manager, this person is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to procure high-quality accessories like bags, belts, hats, etc. Ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines while optimizing cost and aligning with the brand's aesthetic and market trends; collaborating closely with the design, product development, and merchandising teams to source accessories that complement the apparel collection.

Reports to: SVP Production and Sourcing
Role Requirements
- Supplier Identification and Development:
- Research and identify potential new accessory suppliers globally, considering factors like quality, price, production capabilities.
- Establish and manage relationships with key accessory and specialty item suppliers. Collaborate with SVP of Production/Sourcing to set target pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with SVP of Production/Sourcing and Team members to incorporate factory audits, assess production capacity, quality control processes, and compliance with Industry standards.
- Product Development and Sourcing:
- Collaborate with design teams to translate accessory concepts into production-ready specifications, including materials, construction details, and finishes.
- Develop and manage accessory sourcing strategies to ensure timely delivery of samples and bulk production. Collaborate with SVP of Production/Sourcing to align with existing strategies.
- Source raw materials and components like leather, hardware, fabric, and trims based on design requirements and cost considerations.
- Quality Control and Inspection:
- Establish and implement quality control procedures for accessories, including pre-production, in-line, and final inspection processes.
- Monitor quality standards and address any issues identified during inspections with suppliers to maintain product integrity.
- Cost Management and Negotiation:
- Analyze cost breakdowns from suppliers and negotiate prices to achieve optimal cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier optimization, material selection, and production process improvements.
- Research and Trend Analysis:
- Stay informed about emerging trends in the accessory market to identify potential new product opportunities. Set meetings with Design Teams and Creative Director for future planning and strategies.
