We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Specialist to support our Field Service Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the various applications and devices critical to our field service operations, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems like ERP and CRM, and enhancing overall service efficiency.
Salary Range :
75,000 - $95,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and provide support for field service management software (currently Dysel Everywhere).
Ensure effective interfaces with other business and utilitarian systems for financial tracking, inventory, configuration, security, and master data.Analyze and optimize the use of current vendor specific diagnostics utilities (e.g., Toyota, Bobcat).Device Management :Provide maintenance, support, and upgrades for field devices including smartphones, laptops, tablets, and barcode scanners.
Manage mobile communication platforms to ensure adequate and efficient connectivity between field services devices and cloud / remote systems.This includes carrier voice / data plans.Implement security protocols to safeguard data on mobile devices and ensure compliance with company policies.Oversee the lifecycle management of hardware devices, ensuring timely replacements when they reach end-of-life to maintain operational efficiency.Manage the creation, testing, and deployment of software images for all field devices, ensuring compatibility and compliance with company standards during software upgrades.System Integration and Optimization :Collaborate with the field service and IT teams to enhance system scalability and efficiency for high-volume data and operations.
Develop reports from data warehouses to improve field service metrics and KPIs such as first-time fix rates, response times, and customer satisfaction.Technical Support :
Provide technical support and training to field service personnel on the use of IT systems and devices.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.Project Management :
Primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for any project directly or indirectly related to field service operations.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or relevant field.3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a field service environment.Strong understanding of CRM / ERP systems and field service software.Experience with mobile device management and security best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Must be willing to travel to support multiple offices in the Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York area (30% travel).Experience in the material handlings or auto industry a plus.Benefits :
