What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Dental Assistant position at Summit Kids Dental?
An emerging pediatric dental startup is looking for a friendly, motivated and proactive dental assistant! We opened in March 2024 and are ready to expand more. You will play a key role in building out an amazing patient experience. You will be able to learn quickly and be flexible to do any task that will serve the patient and build the dental practice.
Summit Kids Dental wants every child to have a positive dental experience. Great dental care starts at a young age and you will work closely with Dr. Marc to ensure each child and their parent has a memorable experience. This is a part-time position consisting of 24 hours/week that will transition to full-time as the schedule grows.
The key responsibilities include:
Smile and be happy
Always providing the best experience possible for our patients and their parents
Prepare patients for treatment and/or checkups
Appointment documentation and scheduling patient’s next appointment
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Chair-side assistance and knowledge of dental instruments
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Administer dental X-rays
A great candidate will have the following skills and experience:
1 years of experience at a dental office, preferably in a pediatric dental office where you have helped with sterilization, hygiene, and treatment. (Preferred)
Warm and inviting communicator who can convey the benefits of Summit Kids Dental and educate parents on the treatment plans in order to schedule the next appointment
Team oriented who is proactive in figuring out what needs to be done next to take care of the patient and the practice
Comfortable learning and operating new software programs
Must be reliable, consistent, and want to grow into our lead assistant
