Summit Management is looking for a Payroll/Benefit Specialist for their Kimball, MI location!
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for processing and overseeing all aspects of the payroll.
- Verify banking and direct deposit changes for employees.
- Maintain accurate payroll records.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll inquiries.
- Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Issuing W-4 and W-2 forms to employees.
- Maintains compliance with the ACA, ADA, COBRA and all other agencies as required.
- Processing and issuing garnishments and court order deductions.
- Assist with benefits, including benefit enrollment and orientation.
- Resolving employee benefits, retirement and reconciliation issues.
- Assisting with benefit renewal and costs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by administration.
Required Education and Experience
This position will require an associate degree in business, accounting or a related field and 3-5 years of experience processing payroll. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a related field with the appropriate experience is preferred. Demonstrate a strong proficiency in excel and word. Knowledgeable in taxation as well as payroll law.
