Kilgore Companies (a Division of Summit Materials) is seeking a talented individual to assist in the continued strategic growth of our organization. The hourly position of Accounting Specialist will be responsible for positively contributing to the success of the finance team with solid accounting skills, experience in problem solving, attention to detail, and drive for accuracy.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Accounting of financial activity for multiple business units in 5 states
- Transactional data entry and batch postings
- Process subcontractor and vendor invoices
- Creating check run for construction subcontractors
- Maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors
- Managing and processing data exports and imports
- Reconciliation, review, and distribution of weekly reports to operations groups
- Reconciliation or review of reports
- Problem solving
- Assist other accounting staff as necessary
Skills & Experience
- High integrity

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Professional demeanor
- Effective problem-solving ability and practice

- Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Required Education/Experience:
- Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 Years data entry experience.
