What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting - Payroll Specialist position at Summit Metro Parks?
Assists finance department by supporting payroll processing and purchasing. Help manage accounts payable and performing additional accounting functions. Specific knowledge, training, or skills required to perform the duties of this position. Specific concepts, courses, training programs or required certifications : Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll practices and procedures, typically obtained through related formal business training through an associate degree, bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Demonstrated emotional intelligence : demonstrate self-awareness and accurate self-assessment, demonstrate sensitivity and empathy, demonstrate openness, reliability, trust and consistency. Strong interpersonal skills : ability to relate to all types of people with tact / diplomacy. Demonstrated attention to detail; strong requirement for accuracy. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment : fax, copiers, etc. In depth computer skills : ability to operate various accounting software programs, Excel, Access, Word. Knowledge of Tyler Munis and Kronos Dimensions Systems is desired. Knowledge of office systems and protocols. Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee may regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Valid driver’s license with clear driving record. Must successfully complete a probationary period and achieve successful screening results for drugs (including THC) and alcohol.
Salary Range : $41,226 -$51,502 and Administrative Benefits Package after 90-days of successful employment.
