What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Receptionist - Medical position at Summit Physical Therapy?
Summit Physical is a locally owned, outpatient Physical & Occupational Therapy clinic looking for a friendly front desk specialist to join our team! We are searching for the right candidate that is dedicated to upholding a quality experience for our patients, referral sources and fellow staff. This position is dynamic and team oriented. Must have excellent computer skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Excellent customer service - Must maintain our 5 Star Rating!
- Warmly greet patients and visitors
- Assist with Check In and Check Out of patients - collect co-pays and explain healthcare benefits as needed
- Schedule future patient appointments
- Proficient in Electronic Management System following training period
- Verify insurance for patient appointments
- Register new patients in the Electronic Management System
- Collect identification and insurance cards and copies or scans them for the medical record
- Assist referral coordinator with patient referrals
- Answer phone calls, take messages and make appointments
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to our 3 clinic locations.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with health insurance verification and billing.
