WHAT YOU’LL DO

Summit Point is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks within the accounting department. They will provide accounting and clerical support to office staff and assist with the achievements of the accounting departments goals. This position will report to our VP of Finance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for :

Daily entry of vendor invoices in coordination with PM and Procurement
Entry of direct debit vendor payments in Accounting ERP
Setup new vendors and update vendor profiles (W-9s)
Review and processing of Employee Expense Reports
Prepare, Process and ACH / mail vendor checks and / or admittances
Mobile deposit of checks received
Assist Accounting personnel with month end closing activities
Assist with year-end activities, i.e., 1099 processes
Special Projects related to vendors and accounts Payable

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be required to work onsite.

This is a full time, non-exempt position.

Requirements :

Required Qualifications :

The position does not need any experience but should have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

To be successful you will need to have the ability to handle multiple priorities, possess written and verbal skills for effective communication, be competent in organizational, time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.

Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Background Check.

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications :

Prior knowledge or use of Unanet.
