JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Manager, Corporate Finance (Accounting)
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director, Corporate Finance (Treasury)
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll teams; ensuring their day-to-day tasks are completed correctly. The role reports to the Director, Corporate Finance (Treasury.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Under general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks:
Lead Accounts Payable team ensuring proper invoice processing, payments to vendors, expense reporting, and managing the AP automation tool.
Lead Accounts Receivable team ensuring proper handling of customer setup, cash application of receipts, and resolving past due AR balances.
Lead Payroll team ensuring proper payment to employees and timely payment of all payroll-related taxes.
Ensure correct accounting for AP, AR, and Payroll.
Complete month end responsibilities, including reporting and reconciliations, closing AR and AP modules, and Key Results Areas tracking.
Assist with ad hoc requests related to AR, AP, and Payroll.
Monitors procedures to ensure compliance, encourage process improvement, and develop standardization across all regions.
Prepares data for and works with auditors as required.
Performs all other duties as directed by the Director, Corporate Finance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus two years experience managing a team and five years experience [both technical and managerial] in accounting methods for a medium-to-large sized corporation.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 26 on the cognitive portion).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does require less than 5% travel.
