What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engine Works Packaging position at Summit Racing Equipment?
Nickels Performance Distributors, a division of Summit Racing Equipment, is looking for a General Warehouse Associate to join the team, based in Piney Flats, TN!
The Warehouse Shipping position requires individuals to stock and maintain warehouse inventory and fill outgoing orders to ensure products are accurately pulled from stock, labeled, boxed and wrapped.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as assigned):
- Unpack, separate, and receive stock orders from outside vendors of automotive aftermarket parts.
- Accurately count, note, and sign off on incoming stock orders.
- Put product away into their assigned bin locations when needed.
- Repetitive packaging of assorted automotive aftermarket parts into either clear clamshells or fitted boxes.
- Parts will then be prepped and labeled to be transferred to the warehouse.
- General computer skills are needed, as all parts are logged and tracked through an Epicor-based system.
- Job duties will also consist of training in how to operate a heat-based AmPak shrink wrap machine.
- Cut and prepare shrink wrapped product for labels, before transferring product onto the warehouse.
- Assist in monthly inventory counts or annual inventory counts of product.
- Clean and maintain packaging area.
Hours & Pay:
The job position is a full-time position, 40-hour work week.
Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (1-hour lunch break)
Starting pays $13.00 an hour.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Requires passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Experience working in a warehouse setting preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive aftermarket performance parts a plus.
- Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and promptly.
