Family Medicine Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine physician to join our team at {company}.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position that involves providing high-quality medical services to patients at our clinic sites. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, prescribing, and administering treatment to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and diagnose patients, prescribe medication, and administer treatment as needed.
- Supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers.
- Oversee the performance of nursing and other support personnel.
- Review laboratory, x-ray findings, and diagnosis other tests.
- Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) and maintain case histories according to company procedures.
- Participate in consumer education and in-service training for support personnel.
- Meet all contractual requirements, including quality of care and participation in peer review.
Virtual Care Services
The successful candidate will also provide virtual care services, including speaking with patients over the phone and video to assess their needs, gather important clinical history, diagnose, and provide appropriate clinical guidance or treatment.
Additional Requirements
- Manage a panel of primary care patients and provide comprehensive care, including acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive care, to improve health outcomes and quality.
- Act as supervising physician to nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Maintain excellent attendance, arrive on time to shifts, and complete shifts as scheduled.
- Keep up-to-date with medical developments, treatments, and medications.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work well with patients, coworkers, and vendors in a generally comfortable office environment.
- Possess the following physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels).
- Adequate vision to read increments on tuberculin syringe accurately.
- Ability to work on feet majority of the day without tiring.
- Ability to hear adequately for auscultation of B/PS.
- High manual dexterity and tactile sensations on fingertips.
- Ability to reach above shoulder level to work.
- Ability to bend, squat, and sit, and twist/turn.
- Routinely exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
- May be subjected to verbally and/or unbehavioral patients.
- Routinely exposed to contagious/infectious diseases.
Education and Certifications
- Hold MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completed and approved internship.
- Hold a valid California State Physician and Surgeon License.
- Board Certified or Board eligible.
- Current CPR certification.
- Sensitive to the corporation's diverse patient population.
- Demonstrate clear knowledge of health system's clinic structure, standards, procedures, and protocols.
