Frequency
Determine, verify and maintain confidential payroll schedules, job classifications, account numbers, types of pay, calendars and methods of payment for all district employees and assist in issuing employment contracts.
Input and gather personal information, dates, locations, distributions, jobs and pays, license information, experience, education and emergency information into HRIS for payroll processing and maintaining all employee pay records and legal requirements for all employees.
Inform, advise and enroll new employees in benefits programs (health, dental, visions, 403B, 401K, PERA and COBRA) with appropriate withholding amounts and manage accurate records and changes of benefits.
- Analyze, research, and expedite insurance claims upon request
- Assist EBMS in informing and advising employees regarding COBRA coverage and maintain COBRA records including, providing certificates of group Health plan in accordance with HIPPA guidelines and laws.
- Serve as a permanent member on the Health Benefits Committee. Audit insurance records and reports, making additions/deletions as necessary when there is a qualifying event.
- Inform, advise and enroll new employees in benefits programs, with appropriate withholding amounts and manage accurate records of changes of benefits.
Process all Personnel Action Forms and other forms accurately and in a timely manner to communicate compensation, hiring, transfers, resignation/terminations, retirement, extra duty, and career longevity.
Assist in calculating and inputting annual wage increases.
Advise the Payroll Department of all changes in employment status on or before each payroll deadline.
Calculate initial hourly pay rates based on experience and designated job pay grade placement for all support staff.
Assist in coordinating district employee candidate recruiting including internal & external vacancy posting, coordinate advertising for posted vacancies.
Upon request, distribute information on specific job vacancies and district hiring procedures.
Verify, monitor and communicate information regarding the Highly Qualified requirements under No Child Left Behind.
Conduct new employee orientations including assuring that all new employee forms are completed including forms to verify citizenship and authorization to work in the U.S, criminal backgroud check, overview of personnel policies, job descriptions
Maintain accurate position control including the preparations of Personnel Lists for approval by the Board of Education, maintenance of building staff allocations and staffing records.
Release personnel information regarding regarding employment verification, background checks, confirmation of salary, reference and legal records according to district policy
In conjunction with payroll, prepare and distribute the salary schedules and work year calendar.
Assist in monitoring district coaches and sponsors through processing applicable paperwork
Recommend revisions of Human Resource policies to the Chief Talent Officer.
Assist in preparing and rolling of the HRIS system for the new fiscal year.
Develop and maintain an accurate annual calendar of Human Resource office responsibilities by date to assure compliance with administrative policies and procedures and State and Federal law and to communicate with district officials when reports or activities are to be generate/completed.
Compile information for and complete CDE reports using the Automated Data Exchange Program, and complete the annual EEOC report.
Assist in monitoring probationary and non-probationary status and issuing renewal and non-renewal notices.
Process workers compensation claims received and follow up accordingly with claims.
Maintain positive communication and relationships with District staff and the general public

Pay: $27.86 - $35.21 per hour
