Human Resources Assistant, Part-time
We’re immediately hiring an experienced Human Resources (HR) Assistant to provide support to our HR manager.
As an HR Assistant at our firm, you’ll earn $17 an hour and work part-time at our headquarters in Lancaster, PA.
In this role, you will play a key part in managing the onboarding and offboarding processes for candidates. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all new employee documentation is accurate.
- Sending out workplace notices, policy updates, and employee handbooks.
- Processing annual benefits open enrollment and updating employee benefit eligibility as needed.
- Ordering and tracking company-issued assets and coordinating returns when necessary.
- Managing employee records in the HRIS system and responding to HR-related questions.
- Preparing reports and providing information to the Finance Department for weekly payroll processing.
- Auditing timecards, resolving discrepancies, and completing weekly payroll tasks.
To qualify as an HR Assistant with our firm, you must have a minimum of 2 years of related Human Resources experience, prior experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems, and Human Resources Information (HRIS) Systems. In addition, we require:
- General knowledge of current HR policies and practices.
- Experience helping process employee payroll.
- The ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Prior experience using Connect Team, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, Google Sites, and WordPress are a plus.
