Summit Veterinary Referral Center is seeking a Kennel Assistant
The best part about being a Kennel Assistant is the opportunity for growth! We are seeking a driven Kennel Assistant to help us care for our hospital and patients. This position is perfect for someone who is looking for experience, likes working in a fast-paced environment and pays close attention to detail.
Your role:
- Support and assist the janitorial team in maintaining a clean hospital
- Ensuring kennels, and cages are cleaned
- Cleaning treatment and ward areas after use
- Ensuring laundry is done and maintained
- Ensuring food and water dishes are washed
- Stocking treatment, ward and kennel areas
- Assisting Veterinary Assistants and Technicians as needed
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Who you are:
- Experience in the veterinary field preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication skills
- Compassionate, reliable, detail oriented, dependable, trustworthy
Availability:
- ER Operates 7 days/wk, 24 hours, 365 days/year
- Surgery Operated 5 days/wk
- Shifts may vary weekly depending on need
Benefits:
- Hourly pay range- $16.00 - $20.00 depending on experience
- Night differential paid for any hours worked within 6pm-6am
- Monday- Thursday $3/hr
- Friday-Sunday $5/hr
